Of all the apartments in Venice, the Belvedere Apartments are located in the most spectacular position in Venice: in Riva Sette Martiri, where the magnificent view over St. Mark's Basin ranges from the Punta della Dogana, to the Island of San Giorgio and the Lido di Venezia.
From the Belvedere Apartments it's just an easy, scenic 10 minute walk to St. Mark's Square while the Giardini della Biennale home to the International Art and Architecture Exhibitions are just 5 minutes away. For those who prefer vaporetti, the Arsenale and Giardini stops are 3 minutes away, line 1 takes you to St. Mark's, and along the Grand Canal, close to the most famous landmarks and museums: the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Gallerie dell'Accademia, the Rialto Bridge etc. Line 41 takes you to Murano, the island famous for its glass, and the Fondamenta Nuove where you'll find the connections for Burano (famous for lacemaking) and Torcello, the delightful islands in the Lagoon, a must during your vacation (even a short stay) at the Belvedere apartments in Venice.

Around the Belvedere Apartments, there are lots of characteristic little glimpses of the real Venice as well as some of the artistic and architectural masterpieces. Just 5 minutes' walk from the Belvedere Apartments is the Chiesa della Bragora. Extremely old, it is home to Conegliano's Baptism of Christ. Just a stone's throw away you'll find the Scuola di San Giorgio degli Schiavoni, with its stunning canvases by Carpaccio, telling the story of St. George.
A vacation in Venice at the Belvedere Apartments is also a chance to discover the picturesque Via Garibaldi brought to life by its bacari (typical Venetian inns and hostelries), little restaurants, craftsmen's workshops and all kinds of shops, visited by the Venetians amid a whirl of lively ciacole (chat) in the local dialect, once used by the playwright Goldoni.
